Elections Canada returns show which riding associations have the most money in the bank

OTTAWA – A riding association with a lot of savings will have a big advantage during what is expected to be an extra-long election campaign this year. Here are the top 10 richest NDP riding associations based on financial returns filed this month to Elections Canada:

Ottawa Centre (MP: Paul Dewar): $110,543.74

Vancouver Kingsway (Don Davies): $102,960.46

Hamilton Mountain (Chris Charlton*): $100,029.96

Edmonton-Strathcona (Linda Duncan): $91,950.83

Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie (Alexandre Boulerice): $89,594.12

New Westminster-Coquitlam (Fin Donnelly): $89,365.11

Davenport (Andrew Cash): $84,366.60

Timmins-James (Charlie Angus): $79,234.72

Beaches-East York (Matthew Kellway): $74,536.54

Victoria (Murray Rankin): $73,727.85

*=Indicates the MP is not seeking re-election.
