SilverCrest Mines Inc. (TSX:SVL). Miner. Up 11 cents, or 11.46 per cent, to $1.07 on 8.9 million shares.

MBAC Fertilizer Corp. (TSX:MBC). Fertilizer producer. Down 2.5 cents, or 33.33 per cent, to five cents on 8.6 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Down 59 cents, or 5.75 per cent, to $9.67 on six million shares.

Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Miner. Down 49 cents, or 5.17 per cent, to $8.98 on 3.7 million shares.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Down 45 cents, or 3.75 per cent, to $11.56 on 3.7 million shares.

Restaurant Brands International Inc. (TSX:QSR). Fast food restaurants. Up $2.01, or 3.85 per cent, to $54.21 on 946,401 shares. After the company that owns Tim Hortons was dragged into a clash between environmentalists and oil industry supporters last month, Daniel Schwartz, CEO of Tim Hortons’ parent company Restaurant Brands, said Monday the company is reviewing its Tims TV in-store digital screens.

TransAlta Corp. (TSX:TA). Utilities. Down 29 cents, or 3.19 per cent, to $8.79 on 621,810 shares. TransAlta Corp. has signed a deal to buy 71 megawatts of solar and wind power generation capacity in the U.S. in a deal worth US$75.8 million. The assets acquired from an affiliate of Rockland Capital LLC include 21 MW of solar projects in Massachusetts and a 50 MW wind facility in Minnesota.
