Lions ready to touch down in Kamloops for another training camp

KAMLOOPS – Starting next week Kamloops residents will have to be on the lookout for Lions.

The B.C. Lions are coming to Kamloops to prepare for the upcoming season. The team website says first year players will arrive Thursday, May 26, for a three day mini-camp, while the rest of the team arrives Sunday, May 29. Training camp will wrap up June 15.

The team is currently scheduled to hold practices at Hillside Stadium most days, though will be out of town for a preseason game in Regina June 11.

June 4 will be a highlight for locals, with the annual FanFest celebration. The event includes an autograph signing session and fireworks in the evening.

The city has hosted the team's preseason training camp since 2010.
