
Specialty equipment stolen from Penticton Regional Hospital
PENTICTON – Penticton RCMP are looking for the public’s help in recovering a piece of medical equipment stolen from Penticton Regional Hospital.
The instrument, known as a slit lamp, is used in diagnosing optical issues. Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says the lamp was stolen sometime over the last couple of days from the hospital’s emergency department.
The item is valued at roughly $6,000.
Video footage is being examined to help identify the thief.
If anyone should come across the instrument, they are asked to call Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
