‘Chopper’ stolen from Kelowna backyard

KELOWNA – RCMP are looking for anyone with information about a distinctive motorcycle stolen out of a Kelowna backyard earlier this week.

A 2006 chopper-style Harley Davidson bike was stolen from a home in the 700-block of Lawson Avenue sometime between May 14 and May 17, according to a media release from Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers.

The bike was locked up with a chain and a padlock in the backyard.

Police think the bike was either hot wired or taken away in a truck or trailer because the keys are accounted for.

The grey and silver bike has a B.C. licence plate number W41210 and the Vehicle Identity Number, or VIN, is 5L5TX166761000790.
