SOLDOTNA, Alaska – A Nikiski resident is dead after a collision involving multiple vehicles on the Seward Highway, Alaska State Troopers reported Monday.
The Troopers, in an online dispatch, reported the incident occurred Sunday night at mile 45 on the highway.
A sedan crossed over the centre line and hit a trailer that was being towed by another vehicle before skidding into the path of a motorhome, the dispatch states. The driver of the sedan, identified 34-year-old Arleigh Bacarella of Nikiski, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Troopers said.
The drivers of the other vehicles received minor injuries, KSRM radio reported.
The Troopers say the investigation into the cause continues.
