
Firefighters put out fire behind Walmart
PENTICTON – Penticton firefighters doused a fire near Penticton Walmart this afternoon.
Firefighters and police responded to the call around 5 p.m. Monday, May 23 to find a tree behind Walmart burning.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out before any damage was done to the store.
The tree was located behind the building, adjacent to a pedestrian walkway.
Police on scene would not comment on the incident, other than to say it is under investigation.
