REGINA – Health officials are reporting 19 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.

They say 13 of the infections are from the south and central areas, where most of the province’s active cases are located.

The Ministry of Health says of the 962 total cases of COVID-19, 145 are considered active.

So far 802 people have recovered, while 10 are in hospital and 15 have died.

Saskatchewan is seeing an increase in infections in the southwest and west-central regions tied to Hutterite colonies and other communities.

Health officials are doing contact tracing investigations and warning residents in all areas of the province to follow public health orders.
