Zooey Deschanel announces marriage to Jacob Pechenik and birth of their baby daughter
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Zooey Deschanel is now a wife and mother.
A spokeswoman for the 35-year-old entertainer confirmed Tuesday that Deschanel recently married Jacob Pechenik and gave birth to the couple’s “beautiful, healthy” baby girl.
Publicist Lauren Auslander provided no other details.
Deschanel is best known as the Emmy-nominated star of TV’s “New Girl.” She also writes and performs music with the indie folk duo She & Him and co-founded the popular website HelloGiggles.com.
Pechenik is a film producer whose credits include “The Skeleton Twins” and “Rock the Kasbah.”
It’s Deschanel’s first child and second marriage. She divorced Death Cab for Cutie rocker Ben Gibbard in 2012.
