Lake Louise World Cup training run cancelled due to heavy snow, poor visibility

LAKE LOUISE, Alta. – The third and final training run for the Winterstart Lake Louise World Cup was cancelled Friday due to poor visibility on the mountain.

The season-opening men’s downhill is scheduled for Saturday followed by a super-G on Sunday.

Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway was fastest in training Thursday. Austria’s Max Franz was first Wednesday.
