Stampeders a slight favourite to beat Argonauts at 100th Grey Cup on Sunday

TORONTO – The Calgary Stampeders are listed as a slight favourite to beat the Toronto Argonauts in the 100th edition of the Grey Cup on Sunday evening at Rogers Centre.

Calgary is a two-point favourite in the latest odds from the sports betting website, www.Bodog.ca. That’s up a half-point from earlier in the week.

The over-under points total for the CFL championship game is also up a half-point, sitting at an even 55 points early Friday afternoon.

Las Vegas agreed with the lines, with the Caesars Entertainment book also giving Calgary a two-point edge with a 55-point over-under. United Kingdom bookmaker William Hill has the Stamps favoured to win by 1.5 points with a 55.5-point over-under.

Calgary quarterback Kevin Glenn is the early favourite to win the Grey Cup MVP award.

He’s listed as a 9-4 favourite on Bodog, slightly ahead of Toronto pivot Ricky Ray (11-4), Stampeders running back Jon Cornish (7-2) and Argonauts running back Chad Kackert (9-2).

Toronto receivers Jason Barnes, Dontrelle Inman and Maurice Mann are all 50-1 longshots for the MVP honour. The same odds apply for Calgary receivers Maurice Price, Romby Bryant and Jabari Arthur. The rest of the field is listed at 10-1.

Cornish (-130) is listed as a slight favourite to record more rushing yards than Kackert (even) while Ray (-130) is favoured to record more TD passes than Glenn (even).
