Penticton prolific offender caught with drugs and a gun

PENTICTON – A Penticton man is facing a number of charges after officers found him with a loaded, sawed-off shotgun and drugs this week.

Officers with the targeted enforcement unit pulled over a vehicle around 8:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, when they realized it had the wrong plates on it. They found a 26-year-old Penticton man, who is well known to police, with the gun, drugs and drug selling paraphernalia, RCMP say in a release.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says Warren Taylor Johannesen-Quail was arrested and is facing a number of charges under the motor vehicle act, criminal code and controlled drugs and substances act.

Johannesen-Quail remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court June 1.
