Kelowna Rockets president and general manager Bruce Hamilton announced on Friday that two more Kelowna Rockets players have been lost to the club indefinitely with long term injuries.

The news couldn't come at a worse time with the Rockets down 3-1 to the Seattle Thunderbirds in the first round of the Western Hockey League playoffs.

Due to the number of inquiries the Rockets have had about the injuries, the organization is releasing the following details on the nature of injuries.

Veteran defenceman MacKenzie Johnston, 19, suffered a 2nd-degree shoulder separation after being hit in game four on Wednesday in Seattle. He will be sidelined for a minimum of six to eight weeks.

Rookie forward Rourke Chartier is also out indefinitely with an undisclosed upper body injury that will keep him sidelined six to eight weeks.

The two players join Rockets regulars Colton Sissons, Carter Rigby and Mitchell Wheaton, all out with long term injuries.
