Motorcyclist dead in Kamloops collision

KAMLOOPS – Police say one man is dead after his motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup truck.

Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Michael Buxton-Carr says the pickup truck was headed west when it met the eastbound motorcycle in the 300 block of Victoria St. W. The accident happened around 7 p.m. The 53-year-old pickup truck driver suffered only minor injuries. The 32-year-old rider was taken to Royal Inland Hospital by ambulance but didn't survive.

"The RCMP continue to investigate the cause of this collision, and seek the assistance of any person who may have witnessed the incident or the events preceding the collision," Buxton-Carr says.
