Kamloops RCMP search warrant leads to seizure of more weapons from Wolfpack

KAMLOOPS – Police have made another significant step toward disarming an organized crime gang called the Wolfpack.

Kamloops RCMP say during a raid on a home in Agassiz yesterday, June 2, officers from the Targeted Enforcement Unit, Agassiz and Chilliwach seized 17 firearms, including two folding stock rifles, two sawed-off shotguns, ammunition, scopes and magazines.

No arrests were made during the execution of the search warrant, but charges are expected to be laid in the future, according to a RCMP media release.

RCMP believe these weapons are linked to individuals associated with the Wolfpack, a group made up of criminals with ties to other gangs like Hell's Angels and Independent Soldiers. Just yesterday, RCMP announced the results of a four month investigation into the gang which resulted in 10 arrests and the seisure of drugs, guns and ammunition.

"This is another example of the violence that accompanies organized crime and the distribution of street drugs. The disruption and dismantling of organized criminal activity continues to be a priority for the Kamloops Detachment," Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in the release.
