Paris-based cosmetics retailer Sephora aims to enhance online shopping in Canada

MONTREAL – The Sephora international chain of perfume and cosmetics stores says it has improved its online shopping experience for Canadians.

The company says it recently equipped its distribution centre in Brampton, Ont., to handle orders from Sephora.ca.

Sephora says the changes will bring down shipping times to an average of five days from 12 days, and orders of more than $50 will be shipped for free.

Although the 26,000-square-metre distribution centre has been stocking Canadian stores for a few years, it only recently became capable of handling .ca orders, an upgrade that required a major investment.

Sephora originated in Paris in the 1970s and currently has 1,780 stores worldwide, including 56 in Canada.
