Victoria police investigating vandalism and graffiti attacks in Beacon Hill Park

VICTORIA – Police say a bust of the Queen in Beacon Hill Park in Victoria was vandalized with the head removed from the body.

Victoria police say they were called to the area on Wednesday afternoon.

The head of the statue has not been recovered.

The vandalism follows an overnight graffiti spree targeting several buildings, businesses, and public and city property in the area.

Police say many of the messages in the graffiti make a reference to Beacon Hill Park and they are investigating whether the incidents are connected.
