New July performance for Many Hats Theatre Company

PENTICTON – The Many Hats Theatre Company is preparing for a new performance to launch at Cannery Stage, starting in July.

The theatre troupe presents “State of Confusion,” a new performance by Michael L. Poirier to run July 7 to 30 at the Cannery Stage, located at 1475 Fairview Road.

“State of Confusion” takes a lighthearted look at what happens when young love collides with Canadian politics.

In his Many Hats debut, Matthew Cave is a hockey player who happens to fall for the Prime Minister’s daughter, Page Prosser. An attempt at a normal courtship follows as Matt’s parents try to create a normal environment for the two.

A change  in tickets sales taking place this month will see tickets only available at the Many Hats Theatre Company ticket outlet in the Cannery Trade Centre. Seats can be reserved by calling 250-460-1842. Reserved seats are $22 for adults and $19 for students.

“State of Confusion” opens July 7 with performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. throughout July. A Sunday matinee starts at 2 p.m.

The opening night audience is also invited to a reception at Play Estate Winery in the new Skaha Hills subdivision, immediately following the opening night performance.

I have been looking for news in the South Okanagan - SImilkameen for 20 years, having turned a part time lifelong interest into a full time profession. After five years publishing a local newsletter, several years working as a correspondent / stringer for several local newspapers and seven years as editor of a Similkameen weekly newspaper, I joined iNFOnews.ca in 2014. My goal in the news industry has always been to deliver accurate and interesting articles about local people and places. My interest in the profession is life long - from my earliest memories of grade school, I have enjoyed writing.
As an airborne geophysical surveyor I travelled extensively around the globe, conducting helicopter borne mineral surveys.
I also spent several years at an Okanagan Falls based lumber mill, producing glued-wood laminated products.
As a member of the Kaleden community, I have been involved in the Kaleden Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years, and also serve as a trustee on the Kaleden Irrigation District board.
I am currently married to my wife Judy, of 26 years. We are empty-nesters who enjoy living in Kaleden with our Welsh Terrier, Angus, and cat, Tibbs.
Our two daughters, Meagan and Hayley, reside in Richmond and Victoria, respectively.
