PENTICTON – Four years ago, Leon Ray was driving a bus up the road to Apex Mountain Resort. A car driving down the hill lost control and collided with his bus.
No one was injured.
Then another vehicle coming down the mountain lost control and crashed into the bus.
Again, no one was injured.
Police and paramedics were called and arrived on scene. Ray got out of the bus to talk to them and, while doing so, slipped on the icy road and fell.
He was injured.
Ray is now suing the others involved in the crashes, saying it is their fault he slipped and fell and hurt himself. You can’t blame the road.
Justice J. Betton dismissed the case, because, basically, it was Ray’s fault he got out of the bus and slipped.
