KAMLOOPS – The wife of a man charged with illegally possessing weapons and stolen property joined her husband in the courtroom to enter not guilty pleas August 11.

Jason Robertson, born 1977, faces 36 different charges including possession of stolen property, possession of controlled substance and various weapon-related charges. Originally he was charged alone, before similar charges were laid on his wife, Sarah Robertson who was born in 1990.

Charges for both husband and wife followed a large RCMP discovery in May, which resulted in the seizure of a cache of weapons from three properties tied to Jason – including the Sahali home where the couple lived with their children.

In addition to firearms, police recovered a crossbow, flat screen TV’s, laptops, cocaine, marijuana and $50,000 in cash.

The Kamloops RCMP held a press conference on May 16 to show reporters the extensive amount of items.

Jason was one of seven arrested in connection to the property. He was released on a $100,000 bail the same day as the conference.

Sarah is not in custody.
