Looking for a low-alcohol bevvie?
Piquette is actually not new but new to our wine world. This low-alcohol wine is made from the second pressings of grape pomace and is a wine that was made by French farmhands and vineyard workers to enjoy. So it is kind of a way of squeezing the last drop of goodness out of the grapes and the alcohol rings in at about half what a normal rosé would.
Plus in this case you could actually do a rosé all day.
The Second Act Field Blend Rosé $14.99
The blend for this wine is predominantly Pinot Gris, Muscat and Gewürztraminer. This Piquette clocks-in at 6% alcohol. On the nose there are light aromas of hibiscus, cherry and vanilla. This is a dry, light bodied wine with medium acidity and low tannins
