KELOWNA – A Kelowna man is facing potential charges after cops seized cocaine during an early morning traffic stop today.
A Cadillac Escalade was pulled over in the Abbott Street and Bernard Avenue area of downtown around 1:40 a.m., today, June 14.
The officer noticed cocaine and other items ‘consistent with illegal drug use and trafficking’ in the vehicle, but in plain sight. During a search of the vehicle, 3.5 grams of ‘suspected’ cocaine was found, along with the other drug-related items.
The 58-year-old driver was held in custody and is expected to appear in court today facing potential charges of possession of a controlled substance.
