2 injured in helicopter crash in Texas while filming television reality show ‘A Haunting’

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Authorities say two men were injured in a helicopter crash while filming an episode of the television reality series “A Haunting” in Texas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash happened Saturday night near a community located about 20 miles (30 kilometres) east of College Station.

Two helicopters were filming when one was hit by a gust of wind and spun out of control, striking a tree and dropping on its right side.

The Houston Chronicle reports 36-year-old pilot Jacob Oliver and 77-year-old passenger Wayne Bomstad were taken to a Bryan hospital with injures that were not life-threatening.

DPS and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.

The show, which airs on the channel Destination America, tells the stories of people who say they’ve had encounters with supernatural forces.
