
Complete your patio project with Penticton paver auction
PENTICTON – With work on Main Street wrapping up the city now has a new batchof old pavers to auction off to the public.
The city will be putting the pavers reclaimed from the revitalization project out to auction to be sold to the highest bidder in a two-week, sealed bid event, city communications officer Tina Lee says.
People can stop at the city yards office at 616 Okanagan Ave. East between 7:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, to submit a bid on a variety of paver packages ranging from one to 10 pallets.
There are a total of 130 pallets containing 280 bricks each. A single pallet will cover approximately 75 square feet.
Bidding starts at $75 per pallet, to be sold as is, with no exceptions or substitutions. Bids close at noon, Thursday, June 30, and money raised will go towards the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation for the Penticton Regional Hospital patient care tower expansion.
