Downtown arrest leads to drugs and weapons charges for Kelowna man

KELOWNA – A man arrested on an outstanding warrant was found with various drugs and weapons yesterday afternoon.

The 25-year-old Kelowna man, of no fixed address, was spotted by an RCMP officer who was patrolling the downtown area around 2:20 p.m. yesterday, June 14. When the officer arrested him, he was found to have various illegal drugs, including what is believed to be heroin, methamphetamine and crack cocaine, a concealed butterfly knife and a can of bear spray.

The man was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in court today facing potential drug and weapons charges.
