Storm drain mosquito control underway in Central Okanagan
KELOWNA – Regional district crews are out adding small, water-soluble pouches to curbside catch basins in order to help control mosquitos in the Central Okanagan
Crews in cars and scooters will be driving by roughly 10,000 roadside catch basins in Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachlend, West Kelowna over the next seven days, according to a media release.
They will be treating standing water with pouches containing pellets of an environmentally-approved mosquito larvicide.
Crews will repeat the process again in July.
