Casey Creehan leaves Hamilton to return to Winnipeg as defensive co-ordinator
WINNIPEG – Casey Creehan is returning to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
He will serve as defensive co-ordinator and linebackers coach of the CFL team after spending last season as a defensive co-ordinator with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Creehan has worked with Winnipeg head coach Tim Burke on several occasions.
Creehan served as Winnipeg’s linebackers coach in 2010 and took over as defensive line coach midway through the 2011 season.
The Tiger-Cats granted the Blue Bombers permission to begin discussions with Creehan earlier this week.
Winnipeg and Hamilton finished tied for last place in the East Division this past season at 6-12.
