VERNON – Four people arrested following reported gunfire in Polson Park yesterday have been released without charges.
Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk said the Serious Crimes Unit is still interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence and will review if charges will be laid against any of the four initially arrested or others who might have been involved in the incident.
A 34-year-old Vernon man, 23-year-old Surrey man and a 28-year-old Toronto woman were arrested for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Another man suspected to be connected to the incident was arrested in Vernon. All four have been released. There were no reported injuries in relation to the gunshots.
