Stabbing sends Kamloops man to hospital

KAMLOOPS – A man is in hospital after he was stabbed in his Kamloops home by an acquaintance this morning.

RCMP were called to the home on Southill Street at about 11:20 a.m., June 19, to a report of a stabbing.

The victim had let two acquaintances into his residence and soon after an argument ensued between the victim and one of the suspects, according to a RCMP media release.

While they were arguing, the second suspect stabbed the victim once.

“RCMP are actively looking for the suspects who have been identified and are known to police,” Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in the release. “This is not a random act of violence. All parties are known to each other.”

Police are looking for the suspects, but have not released names or descriptions.

No word on the victim’s condition.
