Two people arrested in connection with weekend stabbing in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Two people have been arrested after allegedly stabbing a man in his home yesterday.

Kamloops RCMP say the victim had let two acquaintances into his home on Southill Street, June 19, and soon after an argument ensued between the victim and one suspect.

The other suspect then stabbed the victim while the argument was going on, then both suspects fled the residence.

Later in the day Kamloops RCMP arrested the alleged suspects, according to a RCMP media release.

A 19-year-old woman and 26-year-old man are in custody and will be in court this morning. Both were previously known to police.

The victim is in serious but stable condition and remains in hospital.
