Songwriting event in honour of Kelowna’s Dancing Cowboy

KELOWNA – A local legend lives on, even two years after his death.

Arnie Davis, the fun-loving, popular cowboy who danced his way into the hearts of countless nightclub patrons over the years, died on July 22, 2014. And on the second anniversary of his death a local nightclub is hosting a talent show in his honour.

OK Corral spokesperson Mitch Zorn posted the announcement to their Facebook page calling Davis “the man, the myth, the legend.”

“Hope to see y'all there to show some love,” he says. “Setting it up round style we will have seven or so artists on stage at one time with their guitars taking turns playing songs and telling stories, and hopefully collaborating on a few.”

Artists signed up so far include Teigan Luella, Jordan Dubyna, Mitch and Zachary Glanz, Melissa Livingstone, Mitch Zorn and Hiedi Letiec.

The Songwriters Round starts at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.
