Kansas City police say unidentified Chiefs player involved in double shootings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police say a 25-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player was involved in two shootings today, one of which occurred in the parking lot near Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City police supervisor Andrea Khan could not release the name of the player involved.

The condition of the two parties is not immediately known.

Khan said the first shooting happened in a Kansas City, Mo., neighbourhood and the second happened at Arrowhead Stadium, about 10 kilometres away, at about 8 a.m. this morning.

In a statement, the Chiefs confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning and that the team is co-operating with authorities in their investigation.
