Chelsea, Arsenal lose in Premier League as champion Man City is held by Everton

LONDON – Chelsea’s troubles deepened as Rafa Benitez’s new side lost at West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday, while London rival Arsenal was also beaten by Swansea and champion Manchester City was held by Everton.

West Ham came from behind to beat Chelsea 3-1 and leave the European champions without a win in seven league matches, three since Benitez replaced Roberto Di Matteo.

Chelsea remains third, but Arsenal dropped to 10th after Michu’s double gave Swansea a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

Man City temporarily regained top spot despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Everton. But Manchester United could return to the summit by winning at Reading in the late match Saturday.

Queens Park Rangers remains winless and bottom after being held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villa.
