Young driver takes out power pole, power in Brock

KAMLOOPS – If you found yourself without power this morning, a young driver suspected of impaired driving is to blame.

In a release, Kamloops RCMP say around 3:15 this morning, June 25, the young male driver hit a power pole near the 2300 block of Parkcrest Ave knocking out power to the Brocklehurst area.

"The male was not injured however he is currently being investigated for impaired operation of a motor vehicle by alcohol and driving contrary to his restrictions," says Sgt. Darren Michels.

Power has since been restored.
