Drunk, angry Jesus arrested during Exodus concert in Penticton
An unidentified man dressed as Jesus was arrested and removed from a heavy metal concert in Penticton last weekend, and the story is getting quite a reaction on social media.
Photos and videos show “Jesus” being carried out of the concert, then arrested at the South Okanagan Events Centre on Saturday, Jan. 21, where Anthrax, Black Label Society and Exodus were playing.
“Not sure what he was detained by security for,” said concert goer Kevin Matheis. “He was carried out by four security guards, one on each limb… kind of like he was on a cross. The kicker is the song Suicide Messiah was playing while this unfolded. You can't make this stuff up.”
Penticton resident Jenn Moffat and her girlfriend paused to take a photo with Jesus before he hit the mosh pit during the Exodus performance.
“He was fine when we met him but then we saw him later and he looked really angry so we started referring to him as ‘angry Jesus,’” she said. “Pretty sure he spent the night in the drunk tank. He missed most of the show.”

Penticton RCMP did not respond for a request for comment in time for publication.
