Kamloops streaker arrested near RCMP detachment

Officers arrested a naked man as he ran past an RCMP detachment in Kamloops on a chilly Sunday afternoon.

Police started getting reports of a "disturbance" around 3:15 a.m., Jan. 29. He was reported to be running down the road on Regina Avenue, just blocks from the North Shore Community Police Detachment, according to an RCMP news release.

Officers took him into custody as he ran past the detachment on 7 Avenue.

Police said he was taken inside a "warm police vehicle," then taken to cells where paramedics arrived to take him to hospital.
