Large bird left behind dramatic-looking carcass on shore of Kalamalka Lake
The skeleton of a large bird was discovered in a striking pose on a beach at Kekuli Bay Provincial Park near Vernon.
The meat had been cleaned off the bone yet the wings remained almost fully spread.
The carcass looks like it belonged to a heron or eagle.
"I was just walking at the beach and I saw it and I took a picture," said Sylvia Voets, who submitted the photo.
"It's a mystery how it got killed."
