
Pedestrian struck by SUV in Kamloops critically injured
A 30-year-old woman is in hospital in Kamloops with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in the North Shore area last night.
The woman was trying to cross a road in the area of Mackenzie Avenue and Marcel Street when she was hit by a southbound SUV at around 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, a Kamloops RCMP news release says.
“The driver of the SUV is cooperating with the ongoing investigation,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Corp. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. “Traffic in the area was impacted until after midnight while officers collected evidence and conducted interviews.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has video or other information they have not yet shared with police, are asked to call the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and cite file 2023-7042.
