KITCHENER, Ont. – Danny Zhilkin scored his 27th goal of the aseason and added two assists as the Kitchener Rangers defeated the visiting Guelph Storm 4-1 in the only Ontario Hockey League game on Tuesday’s schedule.
Reid Valade, with his 30th goal of the season, Mitchell Martin and Matthew Sop (empty-netter) also scored for the Rangers (29-26-4-0).
Max Namestnikov scored for the Storm (30-26-4-1), who outshot the Rangers 27-24.
The Rangers led 2-0 after the first period. The second was scoreless.
The Storm went 0-for-5 on the power play, while the Rangers were 0-for-1.
