SkyHawks will be dropping into Penticton’s Peachfest this summer

The SkyHawks will be putting on a show in the skies above Penticton this summer.

The Canadian Armed Forces’ parachute team is scheduled to perform at the 2023 Penticton Peach Festival, according to a media release from the festival society.

SkyHawks parachuters are either active or reserve members from across the country, and the roster changes up each year, the release says. Those who are selected undergo extensive training “to ensure the highest level of professionalism and proficiency allowing them to perform complex parachute manoeuvres safely.”

This will be the SkyHawks’ third show at PeachFest, something air show committee chair John Singleton said he is thrilled about.

The performance is scheduled for 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 9.
