The emergency department at the hospital in Oliver was closed again overnight, the second such closure this past week.
South Okanagan General Hospital's ER reopened at 8 a.m. today, March 30, following a 10 hour closure, according to an Interior Health media release.
The emergency department was closed during the same hours on March 25.
“Unexpected limited physician availability” was the reason given by the health authority both times.
When the emergency services are not available in Oliver, patients are required to travel to Penticton.
