Woman whose body was found in Kelowna park identified

The woman whose body was found at Mission Creek Park in Kelowna yesterday has been identified.

RCMP were called the the Mission Creek Park and Mission Creek Greenway area at around 3:10 p.m. yesterday, March 30.

"At this time, there is no evidence to suggest any criminality was involved in this woman’s death," RCMP said in a media release. The coroners service is investigating the cause of death.

An online fundraiser has been started in an effort to raise money for Jodi Chmila's young son.

More than $2,000 had been raised mid-afternoon today, March 31.

“Jodi’s infectious laugh and fun loving spirit will be missed by all those she touched in some way,” reads the post.
