Firefighters knocked down a tree fire in Kelowna this morning

The Kelowna Fire Department responded to a tree fire early this morning.

The call came in at 2:23 a.m., April 1, according to a release from the fire department.

Multiple people reported a large tree on fire on the 600 block of Cadder Avenue.

Responding to the call were 15 fire fighters, three engines, a rescue truck and command vehicle.

Upon arrival it was discovered that three vehicles, the exterior of four homes, a camper, and numerous out buildings have become involved.

Crews were able to knock the fire down. No injuries were reported. And it does not appear to be suspicious.

The RCMP and B.C. Ambulance Service also attended.
