Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial Services. Up 30 cents, or 1.48 per cent, to $20.55 on 3.5 million shares.

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Down 17 cents, or 0.51 per cent, to $33.42 on 3.3 million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down four cents, or 2.03 per cent, to $1.93 on 3.2 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Up 10 cents, or 1.06 per cent, to $9.51 on 3.1 million shares.

Penn West Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:PWT). Oil and gas. Up four cents, or 6.06 per cent, to 70 cents on 2.5 million shares. Penn West Petroleum Ltd. has agreed to sell its properties in the Greater Mitsue area of central Alberta for $192.5 million in cash. Money from the sale will be used to reduce the Calgary-based company’s debt.
