Suspected drug lab raided in Vernon

VERNON – Heavily armed RCMP officers searched a suspected drug lab in Vernon Friday afternoon.

The home in the 1700 block of 41 Avenue in lower East Hill was raided by police and three people were taken into custody, according to a Global Okanagan report.

A hazardous materials team was also involved in the search.

No word yet from the RCMP if they found drugs or drug manufacturing equipment in the house.

No information has been released about possible charges against the three people taken into custody.
