Driver injured in collision with Kamloops restaurant

Paramedics took a driver to hospital after they collided with a North Kamloops restaurant yesterday afternoon.

Police are still investigating what caused the driver of a Volkswagen Golf to collide with the front of Moon Wok Chinese Restaurant on Tranquille Road on April 17.

Paramedics, Kamloops Fire Rescue and Kamloops RCMP were called to the scene around 4:45 p.m., according to RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

Evelyn said their injuries weren't life-threatening.

No word on why the driver crashed into the building. It's unclear if they'll be ticketed or if they're facing any charges.
