Irrigation system causes mudslide in West Kelowna
A home in West Kelowna sustained damage from a mudslide.
The home is located in Casa Palmero Park, and the damage was minor with water and lite mud in the garage, according to a media release from the West Kelowna Fire Department.
It was determined the slide was caused from the street above, Hillsborough Road, where an irrigation line had been saturating the ground, causing the slope to release.
“The irrigation line has been isolated and the slope has been determined to be stable at this time,” the release says.
There did not appear to be any structural damage.
