Trial set for accused Kamloops fraudster

A Kamloops woman accused of defrauding a local business has a court date for a trial.

Michel Marie Huston, born in 1972, faces two charges of fraud over $5,000 against Kamloops Heating and Air Conditioning, according to court records.

Huston was charged, Jan. 28, 2020, after a police investigation. She'll appear in Kamloops Provincial Court, June 27, for the start of her trial which is scheduled for four days.

It's not clear just how much money the business lost due to the alleged fraud.

Court records suggest the fraud took place between Oct. 1, 2019, and Jan. 20, 2020. It's also unclear if she was an employee of the heating and air conditioning company.
