
BREAKING: Wildfire burning in Kal Lake Park near Vernon
There’s a wildfire burning in Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park.
Five members of B.C. Wildfire Service and an air tanker have responded to assist members of the Coldstream Fire Department this afternoon, May 12, according to fire information officer Aydan Coray.
Coray said the fire is still under half a hectare in size and the cause remains under investigation.
The fire was discovered at 2:17 p.m. at Rattlesnake Hill in the provincial park.
