CIS Roundup: Timmis, Antwi, Buckley lead Dinos over Golden Bears 80-18

CALGARY – Running backs Jeshrun Antwi and Mercer Timmis each ran in two touchdowns to help the No. 1 Calgary Dinos rout the Alberta Golden Bears 80-18 in CIS football action on Thursday.

Andrew Buckley completed 27-of-33 passes for 452 yards and three touchdowns for Calgary (3-0), which racked up 24 points in the second and fourth quarters, and Jimmy Underdahl was 3 of 5 for 94 yards, with one TD and one interception.

Receiver Rashaun Simonise caught two Dinos touchdown passes and Brendon Thera-Plamondon and Austen Hartley caught the others.

Ben Kopczynski was 15 of 32 for 231 yards, one TD-strike and two interceptions for Alberta (2-1). He also rushed for 36 yards and a score.

Jon Waters caught the Golden Bears’ lone touchdown.
